The Lanterns at Chester Zoo will be back for another MAGICAL event. From 11th November to 23rd Dec join the zoo team as they transform the zoo into a spectacular wonderland, full of sparkle, illumination and plenty of cheer!
Chester Christmas Market is 10 and takes place from Friday November 18th until Wednesday December 21st 2022 just outside the Town Hall Square
Our annual Christmas Tree Festival returns for its 10th fabulous year in 2022. A delightful family event where, from the 25th of November, until 8th of January, over 50 Christmas trees will sparkle and shimmer throughout the Cathedral.
The Snow Queen at the StoryHouse is a timeless tale of the enduring power of love and friendship from 9th December to 15th January. Based on the classic story by Hans Christian Andersen, this enchanting production tells the story of childhood friends Gerda and Kai, whose bond is tested by the forces of evil and a celebration of family and friendship. The Snow Queen is a must-see for audiences of all ages.
The annual Winter Watch Parade takes place on 15th December from 7pm through the city streets. Watch the Lord of Misrule and his ghoulish friends hit the cobbles for a riotous romp with a mischievous coterie of fire breathers, devils, skeletons, ice queens, Jack Frosts as the procession dances through the city centre.
Don't forget to visit Chester's best independent restaurants and bars, where you'll be treated to delicious local food and warm hospitality with a smile.
